Metal detection plays a significant part in the recycled textile rag wipers production process. This is to ensure that no pins, studs or sharps are present in the product. Mitigating risk for the end user when using these wipers.

Davis & Moore has an in-line food-grade metal detection unit that scans textile rag wipers as they are transferred on the conveyer system to the press for bagging or boxing. As a result of this process, all metals will be removed to a minimum of 1mm, ferrous, non-ferrous, and 1.2mm, 316 stainless steel.

The metal detection unit is activated manually giving us complete control to ensure you receive metal-free textile rag wipers.

We are the 1st textile industrial rag wiper manufacturer to offer the benefits of quality metal-detected textile rag wipers across our full range, supplied to you without pins and other sharp metals that are common with products recycled from garments and other clothing textiles.

You can rest assured that the textile rag wipers are metal detected if you notice the Max the Magnet logo on the product label.

If you are unsure in any way, please email sales@davisandmoore.co.uk and we will arrange a visit to our production facility.
